"There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to Him:
     - haughty eyes,
     - a lying tongue,
     - hands that shed innocent blood,
     - a heart that devises wicked schemes,
     - feet that run swiftly to evil,
     - a false witness who gives false testimony,
     - and one who stirs up discord among brothers."

Prov 6:16-19

A free and open press, without a particular agenda, that adheres to ethical standards of journalism is essential in a healthy society.

"Members of the Society of Professional Journalists [are supposed to] believe that public enlightenment is the forerunner of justice and the foundation of democracy. Ethical journalism strives to ensure the free exchange of information that is accurate, fair and thorough. An ethical journalist acts with integrity." - Preamble to the Society of Professional Journalists - Code of Ethics

The fact that ethical journalism seems to have taken a back seat to promoting a particular narrative is troubling. Not just here in Canada, but everywhere. It is indicative of the times we live in.

Here's something to consider. In order for the kinds of conditions and wide-scale deception described in the "last days", you need a mostly dysfunctional news media that is compliant to external influences.
