"Iranians want freedom; freedom from oppression, from [radical] Islam, and the regime. The truest form of freedom comes only through a living relationship with Jesus. Support the greatest liberation movement of our time." - Global Catalytic Ministries

For those looking from the outside, there is a tendency to transfer the anger towards an oppressive regime onto the people of Iran. Underneath the nose of this regime, there has been an underground church movement that is radically transforming this nation from the inside out.

To follow what's happened in Iran, see Sheep Among Wolves vol. II.

Obedience in the face of intense persecution has been one of the greatest witnesses of the church. This started with the example of our Savior, then the apostles, the early church, and now the persecuted church in the 10/40 window.

When we think of our Savior, there is often a tendency to associate Him with the Lamb that was led to slaughter to redeem us. This was an important aspect of His purpose. It is the part of Him that is most often emphasized today. But this is not the end of the matter. There is a part of His persona and purpose that we tend to forget.

God has a plan for the nations.

"In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed." - Gen 22:18

"Here is My Servant, whom I uphold,
My Chosen One, in whom My soul delights.
I will put My Spirit on Him,
and He will bring justice to the nations."
- Is 42:1

"He was given dominion,
     glory, and kingship,
that the people of every nation and language
     should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
     that will not pass away"
- Dan 7:14

"Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah" (Rev 5:5)

"Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war. He has eyes like blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head. He has a name written on Him that only He Himself knows. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God... and He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

- Rev 19:11-16
