Everyone champions the statement that the kingdom of God is both "now and not yet."
It's very easy to test the sincerity of that statement.
When you say the kingdom of God is now, they all heartily agree.
When you say the kingdom of God is not yet, they all disagree.

"now and not yet" with a BIG emphasis on the "now" is the way most would articulate the "kingdom" around here.
If you're lucky, the "not yet" gets addressed in a doctrinal statement - but rarely if ever touched on in the day to day preaching.
It's jarring to the soul to hear it presented that way.
