I don't think a person can be dogmatic about this, but it's possible that the first of seven seals identified in the Revelation to John may have already been broken.
Then I watched as the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say in a thunderous voice, “Come!” So I looked and saw a white horse, and its rider held a bow. And he was given a crown, and he rode out to overcome and conquer.
Rev 6:1-2

It does seem like the global response to this pandemic has been way over the top. It's disrupted every region of the planet. It's impact could be described as absurd in some cases - leading to some fairly radical changes in the way society is being governed. I don't think you can deny the "overcoming and conquering" effect this pandemic has had on the global population. I can only imagine what the global response might be to the breaking of the fourth seal:
When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come.” I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.
Rev 6:7-8
Now it's possible that this present disruption will eventually end and things will return to more normal conditions. Then the idea that this pandamic is linked to the breaking of the first seal will have been proven incorrect. If that happens, great!
But it does seem like this pandemic is creating the kinds of conditions that we might expect to see before the second and third seals are broken.
Red Horse --> Removal of peace
When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come.” And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
Rev 6:3-4
Black Horse --> Scarcity
When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come.” I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.”
Rev 6:5-6
So, we will have to watch and see. If the first seal has been broken, then the remaining seals will have to be broken with the conditions described manifesting themselves - in the order given.
One last point to keep in mind. It is Jesus that breaks these seven seals that lead to the seven trumpets that lead to the seven bowl judgements. And these ultimately lead up to the "restoration of all things".
