With so much emphasis in the modern church being placed on the concept of "kingdom now", it's helpful to recall Jesus' closing statements at the close of our "New Testament Canon".
First he identifies the audience.
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.”
Rev 22:16
Then note carefully the emphasis of the following statements:
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!”
and
Let the one who hears say, “Come!”
and
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
I dunno. Can He be any more clear?
"Your kingdom come..."
